ABOUT TALENTO BILINGÜE DE HOUSTON
Less than a mile from downtown Houston and adjacent to Guadalupe Plaza Park, Talento Bilingüe de Houston (TBH) is Houston´s Latino cultural center. Founded in 1977, TBH has successfully evolved into an organization that presents regional, national and international performing and visual artists, providing Houston with art forms representative of its diverse Latino community.
Over the past three decades, TBH has seen its audience grow. Well over 40,000 people visit the center each year, attending music concerts, plays, festivals, art exhibitions, classes for the community, readings, and an annual summer arts camp for youth. To ensure that art is a privilege shared by all, TBH events are affordable with ticket prices ranging from $5 -$18.
Our supporters include generous individuals, the City of Houston through the Houston Arts Alliance, the City of Houston´s Convention and Entertainment Facilities and Housing and Community Development Departments, the National Endowment for the Arts, Houston Endowment Inc., JPMorgan Chase, Texas Commission on the Arts, The Brown Foundation, Inc., CenterPoint Energy, the Cullen Trust for the Performing Arts, Wortham Foundation, Inc., Immanuel and Helen B. Olshan Foundation, Inc., H-E-B, Merrill Lynch, the Port of Houston Authority, the Strake Foundation, Southwest Airlines, and our 30th anniversary season sponsor, Target. These contributors assist TBH with its mission to present, preserve, and promote Latino cultural arts in the greater Houston area.
