In my craft or sullen art ....Dylan Thomas.

In my craft or sullen art Exercised in the still night When only the moon rages And the lovers lie abed With all their griefs in their arms, I labour by singing light Not for ambition or bread Or the strut and trade of charms On the ivory stages But for the common wages Of their most secret heart. Not for the proud man apart From the raging moon I write On these spindrift pages Nor for the towering dead With their nightingales and psalms But for the lovers, their arms Round the griefs of the ag… Continue

A quote from Rilke: Letters to a Young Artist

Go into yourself and test the deeps in which your life takes rise; at its source you will find the answer to the question whether you must create. Accept it, just as it sounds, without inquiring into it. Perhaps it will turn out that you are called to be an artist. Then take that destiny upon yourself and bear it, its burden and its greatness, without ever asking what recompense might come from outside.

Well I wanted to say hello... I was a charcoal student of yours back at Tomball in 99 before I left for the Kansas City Art institute. I was at the M2 gallery today and saw that you display there… Your work is excellent! I’m having a show next door at the H-Gallery May 17th Anyway it’s always nice to see any of my past instructors work!

Take Care,

Kevin Sechelski

Ohhhhh! I really enjoyed visiting your page and taking in your works. The Kiss and the self portrait are my favorite.

I love your choice of music, as I was raised by a "jazz historian" who had a show on KTSU called Jazz Classics.
