For those of you who don't know - Barb passed away on March 9, 2009 from a brief battle with cancer. She will be sorely missed. Here's the text from her obitiuary in the Houston Chronicle.
BARBARA ANN JONES, age 55, passed away on March 9, 2009. With family and friends at her side, Barbara passed on to a place without pain or fear, taking with her the love of too many people to count. Barb was preceded in death by her brother Tom Jones. She is survived by her husband, Pat Southard; parents Larry and Jean Jones, sister Lori Scott, brother David Jones, sister-in-law Becky Sargent, and numerous nieces and nephews. She will continue to live on in their hearts and minds; in time the tears will pass, leaving the joy of her memory in their place. Peace. Visitation and a short service will be held on March 16, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Earthman Funeral Home, 6700 Ferris, Bellaire, TX, 77401. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Barb's memory be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 8111 North Stadium Drive, Suite 100, Houston, TX, 77054.
Someone would be posting Vinnie (as seen outside Lee Loe's front porch) in a mailbox while appropriating the namesake of a mentor who was seen @ the front desk of the ACM...
i'll check out the other chairs for sure. thank you for your kind comments. i put the one with the magnifying glass up at our starbucks. i like the idea of people interacting with the peace,piece. the shattered peace sign might be too contravercial for starbucks. i know they don't want to upset their customers.
i bought an old door at a garage sale saturday so i'm excited to paint something on it to make it an art piece.

GAH! it's ME! and my KEYS! :) i don't know if i told you, but someone saw that painting at the art car museum and recognized it as me. that was weird! i felt like a celebrity! :)
