So I get contacted by http://www.fixemagazine.com for an interview. I am not sure how much of it will be published but I thought y'all might want to see my answers to their questions. I tried to give credit where due...
How did you become interested in fetish/BDSM?
As I remember it, the whole shebang has held a life long interest. My
father is an artist who is also kinky so I stumbled into his "research
material" a few times. Centurian's images of pony girls really
facsinated me. I also enjoyed playing tie me to a tree as a child. By
my senior year of high school I had found myself a kinky boyfriend who
tied me to the bed with pantyhose and smeared peanut butter and jelly
all over me then began licking. He was also the first partner to spank
me. Thank you Tod Waters of Junker Designs in California - you dirty
perv!
And how did you transition from an interest to it being a profession?
When I first came to the community, I began bondage modeling for the
sites of LadyRope, Phil Carson and Archw.com's Felix Dartmouth. Then
I met my second hubby and stepped off from professional modeling for a
short while -- returning to hobby status.
During the marriage I worked on my talents as an event/party planner
for the community. I also honed my stage talents, performing at large
events much like I still do, for things like Temple of Flesh in San
Antonio. [www.templeofflesh.com] I wouldn't have called me a
professional fetish event coordinator at that time, but now it is a
justified title thanks to Summer Sinfest. [myspace.com/summersinfest]
Around the end of that relationship, I began to take on professional
Dominatrix sessions after mentoring under Miss Lydya Whitney. I have
been working full time at this ever since. I have returned full force
to modeling for such sites as www.messygirl.com and perform at events
- some fetish related and some 'vanilla'. I offer online and in-person
proDom sessions as well. My online services can be obtained via
www.niteflirt.com/BelleofHellMichelle. To book an in person
appointment, my contact information may be obtained from
www.michelle-from-hell.com.
What can someone seeing you as a Pro Domme for the first time expect?
A much easier and relaxed environment than many of the other local
Pros. My personal preference is NOT about humilation and degradation,
opting instead to work on a positive reinforcement/reward based
thread. My hard limits are no insertion play of ANY sort, no
fluid/showers of any sort related play, no needles and nothing
sexually relatable ever. Because of this, I require a fair but low
tribute that allows for men to feel safe with me at a reasonable
investment. Plus I frequently run special pricing deals; from
Valentines until the end of Spring Break the prices is the lowest I
have ever been to provide my own stimulus to the pathetic economy.
[$175 vs my normal $250]
I take the time to find out the areas of interest we have compatable
and work within them to bring a client to their desired heights. By
communicating and negotiating through email I can begin to imagine
what a session will need to please my clients beyond their
expectations. I can set up fantasy sessions with multiple Dommes and
even have a subbie girl to be brought to scene with the client for
additional tributes. My creativity and social network sets me far
apart from many of the traditional dynamics offered by my peers.
Also I never leave a mark, unless it is demanded by the client. I play
light comparatively to many people's expectations. I explain to them
that I want them to never be afraid to come back for more and will
play harder as they request.
What excites you about fetish modeling?
The money! Just kidding!! I love the variety of people it puts me
'behind the scenes' with. Most have become life long friends. I truly
do enjoy the wet and messy work I have done for www.messygirl.com the
most!
What are your favorite types of outfits to model in?
I like to pick items that most people wouldn't think of as "fetish"
until they see it in the context. It's a clear reflection of who and
how I am.
What are your least favorites?
I hate latex. I hate rubber. I hate corsettes. I basically hate
uncomfortable clothing that is hard to move in, makes me sweat or
disables my breathing.
What advice would you have for someone just staring out in the fetish scene?
DO NOT EXPECT THIS TO BE THE ALL ACCEPTING COMMUNITY! It is NOT. Due
to being built by human beings it has it's faults -- cliques, politics
and backstabbing. Not everyone is loved, admired or even welcomed just
because they like to kick ass or can serve better than most paid
butlers.
But I will say, the friends I have made are priceless. The people who
I befriended have seen me through some hard times, earned my respect
and love. I admire the surviors and those willing to give it all to
create a community I am proud to participate in most of the time.
Also never forget the importance of "please" and/or "thank you".
Everyone loves to hear those phrases, needs to hear them and never
gets enough.
Do you think fetish is becoming part of the mainstream culture?
Yes. Too much so. I miss the whole underground quality that existed
ten years ago. I used to be all about community outreach to educate
the general public to protect our rights. While I still believe that,
I see the validity of privacy.
What kind of music do you like?
I love all kinds. I have a particular fondness for classic rock, but
have been known to admit one of my all time favorite songs is, "up
against the wall redneck mothers"! Being from Texas and spending a
good portion of my life back and forth to Austin, I have been blessed
with a huge mental library of amazing musicians.
What do you like to do for fun?
This is going to sound so lame...I really enjoy hanging out with my
PET [perfectly entertaining treat] Willbur. Sometimes it is spent
doing dirty kinky things and others just playing video games. He's a
joy and delight every day. Doesn't matter what city we are in and what
we are wearing, as long as I can hear that giggle and relax in the
warmth of his grin. He's no subbie boy nor slave -- but perfect for me
never-the-less!
