My Trip to Find Art in Italy
Dear Friends, I Write to you as my journey to find art in Italy ends.
Finding artists here has been exciting. My journey began in Arezzo, as I went to visit some locals in thier own studio art shops. Many of these smaller cities do not have galleries like we do in Houston and they really try hard to get thier work out in the public eye. there was one contemporary gallery with good name artists from around the world. Today I visited Rome and went down to a local emerging artist exhibit. I thought the art was really well curated and impressive. I still think that as Houstonians and as Americans, we as artists are really fortunate to have shows in any place that we can find, which are many, and we have a huge variety of art and galleries. This trip has made me so thankful. There is no place like home.
