Fear of a blank page............

Ok, so we all go through it, that feared artist's block that just won't go away! So here we are, I haven't been able to pull off anything but the most simple drawings for a couple of years now, and I beat my self up when I look at what I've done in the past. I get a fantastic idea for a piece, but when I try to put it down, my mind goes as blank as the white page I'm staring at. So that fear just nags on; however, now that a friend has introduced me to this site, maybe much needed dialouge with other artists can help me make some progress through this frustrating time!! Viva la creativity!

just give it a go when you feel like it, i just have to be in the mood to paint. it does help when your mind is clear and you have no house work to do, but when is all the house work really done? there is always something you could be cleaning.. or atleast for me there is but i have cleaning issues! i over clean so i have to just set apart a day when i feel like painting and just go for it.

you are doing better than i, kimberly. i've got a mess all over my art table. i've got 3 easels with 3 primed canvases on them. no idea what to paint but at least they are primed.

It's Saturday night and once again, I can't concentrate. All I can think of is the housework I haven't done! Whine, whine, whine! At least I did manage to get my drawing table cleaned off! :)
