Julia Kovach My Daughter is having a one-day one-woman show in New York!

Today I received an invitation from my daughter, Marlo, who is having a one-day one woman show in New York on May 8. Unfortunately, I recently had neck surgery and will not be able to travel on an airplane for several more weeks as I am still in a soft neck ring...so I shall miss this opportunity to be of support. I am really having a problem with it - I know she understands and does not want me to travel until my neck is healthy but somehow I can't seem to feel good about missing her show - she… Continue

Lilibeth Andre Well It's Hot in Houston

While you've got the calendar out, mark Saturday, July 12 to come and see the Artistic Independence show at Elder Street Gallery. I've got a revealing and revolutionary piece of artistic roots and independence, unveiled for your artistic pleasure that evening. I will say this: it takes guts to do it. So come by and tell me what you think. I'll be glad to tell you where it came from, how I conceived the idea, and what I say with it. Visit my Web site for more on this surrealistic pieace. I will… Continue

Amanda K. Wolfe My last title was meant to be self-deprecatingly snarky, but sounded sarcastic instead, so I'm changing it.

Okay, all... if you haven't read my prior blog, and are interested in being a part of a large visual/performance/etc. festival put on by artists, for artists, please read it. I just received word from the founders of the Artomatic "brand" in Washington DC that a Houston Artomatic would be a great idea. So, instead of being an idiot with a dream, I'm now an idiot with a dream and actual backing and guidance from those who first conceived the concept. If you have any desire for involvement, please… Continue
