I try to constantly develop myself as an artist and sometimes this comes across as not knowing who I am as an artist, which is not the case. I think in order to grow as an artist we must push past our comfort zones and not become lazy or complacent and just paint the same thing over and over. Sure some people will want you to do the same thing so they can recognize your style but is that what art is about? Shouldn't we strive to see how far our minds will go; how large our imagination is? We sell ourselves out by taking the familiar road and that is not what artist are. We are imagination explorers. We have to do our personal best each time, so if we do the same style, subject matter over and over are we saying then, that this is only how deep a thinker/dreamer I am? I'm not saying it's easy. But we all know making art isn't easy.

Check out Elder St. Gallery whenever you get a chance! They are very supportive of their artist!
International Decor Gallery is very cool. Owner Hannah Bacol Busch and her store manager, Art Bacol, rock!
I wrote the article about yu Victoria but I am not certain I got the correct links in for the shows you are doing right now. Plus I created a great slideshow but it just doesn't seem to want to show up on the article for some reason. I have been having problems with the slideshow option. Perhaps it will show up later. Please take a look at the article and let me know what you think. Peace, Suzanne http://www.examiner.com/x-26700-Houston-Art-Examiner
Hi Victoria... I am planning a trip to Conroe this weekend to interview as many artists and see as many galleries as I can. I am not sure which day I will be coming up but it will be either Saturday or Sunday. Which day would be better for you?
thanks for having confidence in me and my work victoria. i've been getting down thinking maybe that i'm not doing work that is saleable. i know in these times that art work is not high on the must have list.
thank you for sharing your info on the galleries in houston. there are so many artists in houston.
i haven't done any new work in awhile. i almost hate to as i have so many pieces in my apt now. they are letting more college students hang their work in my reg spot that theres not much room for the size pieces i've done. i've got a good friend that is pushing me to get my work out there.between you and him i'm feeling better. thanks again victoria.
Thanks so much for the timely help. My travels are in connection with my work - I have spent a majority of my life in Asia and the Middle East. The pictures I would like to show (not necessarily sell) are about the people I have met in my travels. I will followup on the leads you suggested. Once again, thanks so much for taking the time.
