Artist Bio
Elizabeth Cencini is a native Houstonian and student at the University of Houston. She is seeking a degree in Painting. She has studied art in various locations in Florence, Italy. While a student at Accademia del Giglio and Libera Accademia di Belle Arti, she learned techniques such as Italian fresco, Roman Byzantine mosaics, figure drawing and the master techniques in oil painting. She has also studied with internationally known Master Artist Franco Rossi of Arezzo, Italy.

Her artwork is collected in homes across Europe and in the U.S. She is one of the most active community artists in Houston and her efforts have established a new home for her artwork in her local town of Houston, Texas at Winter Street Studios.

In her professional career, she has helped out over 80 artists with organizations such as Artists Alive and Well, Inc. and helped as founder of Green House Gallery with the Public Relations.

She has brought these groups the attention of the media and helped place them in the eye of the public. Publications such as Arts Houston Magazine, 002 Houston Magazine, Houston Press, Paper City Magazine, Houston Envy Magazine and online sites such as greenrightnow.com, artshounds.com, and spacetaker.org, have written articles and added her press releases to their calanders. Thanks to her efforts many have had personal acknowledgement and much success in their own careers.

In her artistic career, she is most notably known for her Vespa-scooter art collection that was on view in April 2008 at the Italian Cultural Center, and also at the local Starbucks on Montrose and Hawthorn in May. She is also a long time community activist, from artist educator in the outreach programs for the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, to helping out with charities and fundraising from Via Colori in support of the Center for Hearing and Speech, to Art for Aids, and Cancer Fighters of America.

My Trip to Find Art in Italy

Dear Friends, I Write to you as my journey to find art in Italy ends.

Finding artists here has been exciting. My journey began in Arezzo, as I went to visit some locals in thier own studio art shops. Many of these smaller cities do not have galleries like we do in Houston and they really try hard to get thier work out in the public eye. there was one contemporary gallery with good name artists from around the world. Today I visited Rome and went down to a local emerging artist exhibit. I though… Continue

end of the road

Well I am at the end of my road and its time to head on back home to the USA. Italy has been a good expirence for me. I am overwhelled at how much I learned every time I came to visit. What a beautiful country I hope that all my artist friends one day come to know how meraviglioso it is here! I think while I was here I ate better, my health got better and most important my mind got to rest and I am wiser after learning so much from Maestro Rossi. If you deserve a vacation and are willing to dip… Continue

Exploring art in la Città

I went exploring around the town of Arezzo on Friday to check out the art scene and to visit many galleries.

What I found out was that there are a few underground galleries that are trying out new ways to break free from the traditional roots and emerging into a interesting level in the contemporary arts world. But I did not see many contemporary art galleries here. I suppose that in Europe the demand for traditional art is much more than the contemporary art. When I asked the local artists wha… Continue

On arrival to the studio of Franco Rossi

Today I spent the afternoon with Franco Rossi in studio.

I say afternoon because it is now 7.00 pm here in Italy and there is a time difference.

On arrival Maestro Rossi showed me place. It is about three stories high and he occupies every inch of it as an art space- studio. Every nook and cranny was filled from top to bottom with his art. It was quite a wonderful visit and it really opened my eyes as to how I myself could improve to reach his level of maturity in art.

I learned a little abou… Continue

HELLO GORGEOUS & TALENTED,

IT WAS SOO LOVELY TO SEE YOU, AND YOUR NEW WORKS, LAST SATURDAY NIGHT DURING YOUR STUDIO PARTY :)!

I LOVE YOUR NEW WORK AS WELL AS YOUR PREVIOUS WORK; I LOVE EVERYTHING OF YOURS :)!

THANKS FOR HAVING ME!

WITH THE PHOTO PLACEMENT INTO AN EMAIL BODY: THE WAY I WAS TAUGHT IS THAT YOU OPEN, IN A SEPARATE WINDOW, A PRE-EXISTING IMAGE THAT YOU HAVE ON YOUR COMPUTER. AFTER THIS, YOU PULACE THE CURSOR ON THE IMAGE AND 'CTRL+A' TO SELECT THE IMAGE; THEN YOU PUCH THE 'PRINT SCREEN' KEY (THAT IS TO THE RIGHT OF YOUR F12 KEY); ONCE YOU DO THIS YOU PLACE THE CURSOR ON YOUR EMAIL BODY AND 'CTRL+V' TO PLACE THAT IMAGE INTO YOUR EMAIL BODY.

YOU DO THIS SO AS TO NOT HAVE ANOTHER COMPUTER REGARD YOUR EMAIL AS 'SPAM' DUE TO HAVING AN ATTACHMENT.

TRY THIS; IT SHOULD WORK

LOVE YOU, CENCI BELLA!!

A PRESTO!
