As long as I can remember photography has been a passion that literally held me hostage. I was fascinated how an image was captured on film. With the advent of digital photography my imagination has entered a new realm. Now I have complete control over the workflow process, from capturing the image in a RAW format, to color correcting and printing the image.
Over the years my skill level did not develop much beyond intermediate because I entered a career outside photography. Three years ago, however, I took early retirement. Now time is available and I plan on taking full advantage.
Since leaving work I've spent many hours with my D200. As I travel my eyes are constantly looking for "the shot," the shot that inspires, energizes, and most of all evokes conversation.
I study photography at Rice University.

I went hunting with the old 35mm over the Christmas holiday (before I got the nasty cold) for more material--can never have enough. I can't get close enough--manage some but I want more. You need to spend a lot of time out there and I usually only have one or two days at a time.
Just Wait until the newer models 2008 arrive
