- About Me:
- The Renegades and Their Collection of Carnies are the Houston, TX based dance troupe consisting of Jessie, Luna and ms. YET. Their pieces combine visual art, inventive costuming and belly dance into their original shows. Using the language of belly dance to present their eclectic vision of performance, the Renegades embody artistic expression through movement.
Each member of The Renegades designs and creates her own costuming. Ms. YET holds a degree in Fashion Design from the University of North Texas while Jessie and Luna are skilled self-taught seamstresses. Please contact us if you are interested in commissioning any member of The Renegades to design your next costume.
The Renegades are active in the visual art and dance communities and curate a monthly show at Avant Garden (formerly Helios).
