About Me:
I work in ceramics, mixed media, encaustic wax, and occasionally, video, motion graphics and sound. My work reflects my interests in social, environmental, and metaphysical issues. I returned to Texas a few years ago to be head of a ceramics department at an area college. That did not leave much time for art making, but now I am eager to get back to work and get better acquainted with the Houston arts community.

Art has great power. Art heals.
Art can elevate humanity. Art can teach.
Art can sooth. Art can liberate.
Art can be sold. Art can be given away.
Art can have an author. Art can be author-less.
Enjoyed looking at your art, Suzanne. The shoe with the nails inside, especially! I wore a pair like that (ahem) to church yesterday, and now my little pinkie toes are killing me. I'm from Cypress, also. Please check my gallery at www.smackingdarcy.com.
