Red's art is a 20 piece series called the Red Series. The abstract artwork is part of an ongoing study of color and texture and incorporates the psychological angst of a woman re-discovering herself in a new environment where no one knows her name. The loneliness and isolation enabled her to relate to the character Dexter in the HBO television show and so she did 20 paintings inspired by 20 quotes she collected from that show.
Red moved down here one year ago from Detroit, Michigan. She is finally getting back into showing her art work down here now that she is more established and settled in from the move. She graduated Wayne State University with a BA in Psychology and is beginning a global PhD program this fall at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology in Palo Alto, CA where she will be able to engage her studies online and continue working on her art business.
