- Katrin Senn was born in Paris in 1962, where she grew up bilingually.
In 1982 she had to move to Germany for her job. For workrelated and privat reasons she had to travel a lot and that's why she began to fix her impressions on canvas as an "Austrian by heart".
For Katrin Senn painting is like a travel to the inside and her need to replace the outside with the inside. She uses different ways to paint, to express all her impressions, she works with acrylic colors as well as oil or different pigments.
The uger part of her aristic work is dedicated to her "bodyprints", which brings out her inner feelings, in a strong and subtle way.
The complexity of this work comes out of the inability to find the right words for strong feelings and the is channelled by her in This way.

" It was the attempt to paint the unspeakable on canvas. I have to admit, I was surprised by the results. It was like a snapshot.
it wa something strange in particular if you first do not want to accept it because you can repress a feeling very quickly when you don't want to feel it. But ot was there, on the canvas, in front of me and I could not just wipe it off...
Then my real work began. Just for me...
Bodyprints as a commissioned work, when someone wants to say something without words... When someones wants to give awy a personal emotion, Katrin Senn works it out in a very individuall way after talking precisely over the intention.
