cancer surviver and retired musician living in houston. formerly orchestral and choral director at southmore int, in pasadena, and then, edison middle school in houston. creator and administrator of happy tribe, an art and music forum.
Born in east Tennessee and raised in Texas. I've spent the last 25 yrs. being a musician, scholar, and a teacher of music. It's taken the last 3 of those years for me to learn how to be a cancer survivor. While these recent health challenges make it difficult to play many of the vintage instruments I call my own (since May 07), art and, increasingly, music continue to be integral in my journey to recovery. The music and images here demonstrate a range of style and content. I hope you see or hear something you like. Have fun and live every day as if each were the best day of your life. love and light Happy your comments are welcome at happyvalentineintexas@yahoo.com leonardo lay your hammer to that shapeless piece of stone you've been waiting anticipating now you make the thing your own you'll arrange it slowly change it darker shades are brought to light it's faith your keeping cursing and weeping labor long into the night
see the morning sun as it dances on the rise and run though it seems that you have just begun the day is done
leonardo lay your weary head down where the angels weep safly knowing, they guide your going and the time will come to sleep
come the morrow all your sorrow all your dreams and plans find salvation sweet inspiration flowing through your trembling hands
see the evening star as it shines above the shores afar there, but for your weathered scar you shine the same
