Thank you for your comments. Making the canvas was the easy part - I have another one just like it waiting for me get around to painting it up - it may be a while, though...
Thank you - this painting came from a dark place that turned darker. I am working on the next (and hopefully last) painting from that phase of the darkness now. I should have it done in a couple of weeks, which is good, because I am ready to move on…
I have been searching for a way to connect with other artists and photographers in Houston, and could not believe my luck when I found artshouston this morning. I could not be more excited about finding this venue!

thank you for the compliment on my paintings, I really like your photos, it's so interesting to see others people's perspective on life. The peephole photo is great, and I like the photo of the window that resembles a frame. thx for the add
I have been drawing and paintin probably my whole life - at least since I was two. I remember getting in trouble for glueing my paintings to my grandmother's wall. I didn't take a class until my senior year in high school, and then I took another in college. I actually stopped for the most part about 13 years ago, but got back into it again last fall. I took another class, and it was quite cathartic. I do a lot of pen work, because it is expedient, but I am trying to work more in paint, just to keep my brain working that way. You definitely have a good eye, so I'm glad you are using that skill more.
