Profile Information

Hometown:
New Orleans is my first love and hometown , but I love and live in Houston now.
Relationship Status:
In a Relationship
About Me:
I am a fashion designer/stylist. I work for the Houston Chronicle's Gloss Magazine as fashion stylist. I also do image consultations and wardrobe work. I've done some conceptual art pieces and outdoor illuminated sculptures..I've played around with fashion installations/fashion as art. I have that big art piece in my mind that I need some kind of grant to fund... hmm.. maybe another lifetime?

I absofuckinglutely love producing collections(many pieces have been reconstructed) and turning them into stories or a journey!
I incorporate performance art into my fashion shows. I had a shop in the Heights, called Coronation Vintage until recently. Now I see clients by appt. in my work studio.

During the many years I lived in Scotland I was fortunate to travel Europe and collect the finest fabrics, buttons and vintage pieces.

I now live in Houston Heights with my ten year old daughter..and am half an empty nester without my wonderful 18 yr.old (whose living happily in Austin at UT..studying art and working at Blanton museum)

I have a lovely man in my life and he enjoys being creative and productive, so we both dive in deep together, submerse ourselves in fun messy art/life!

DescriptionCoronation Vintage invites you to a fashion fairytale..join us for one night only of Vintage like you have never seen, as we present our Fall 09 Collection.
Step into AvantGarden, feel the wind on your skin, gaze upward and you'll see the full moon* winking* at you...you have now entered a couture world of Blue~

If you love fashion, especially runway shows, then know that there is a beating, edgy, underground world of high fashion happening right here under your radar... in HOUSTON!!

"Once Upon a Blue Muse" was inspired by:

The girl who knows clothes..
and incorporates the organic elements of fire, water, and sky!.
We start the collection with a palette of fiery orange, golds and mineral browns, taking you on a visual journey through fire and earth. Then we migrate back to the sea with saturated blues and greens that will serenade your fashion heart into an undersea utopia~
Finally,be joyfully prepared to have your fashion sensibilities tickled with powder blues, grays and silver that line the most beautiful clouds in this fashion filled sky~

Come out and be inspired by our Blue Muse and do some good at the same time; a portion of the proceeds for the night will benefit Planned Parenthood!
Our lovely models will be provided by Neal Hamil. Hair by Cara Crafton of Craft Salon and makeup by Wendy Martin..www.makeupbywendy.com
Music, lighting and special effect projections by D. Berry of LocalSound.net

You're welcome! Of course! And I have more, too. I'd be happy to send you whatever you need. :)

Once again, the show was lovely and I'm so glad we got to come. I'll be posting about it on my (new) blog, too. (I presume you're fine with that... The URL is breonny.com) And I'd like to link back to you. Your myspace account, preferably?

Okay, I've posted a few.

Honestly, I got distracted talking and my camera didn't get as much use as I planned!! I used some experimental techniques to try and capture as much of the ambient light as possible and get some fun results.

I posted my favorites, but I have quite a few more, if you're interested in the rest. Hope you're having a splendid week!

I sure did! That's actually my goal for today, to get those worked on. This past week was a hectic nightmare, and I'm just catching my breath! I actually just downloaded the card yesterday...

The show was fabulous, by the way!! I'm so glad we were able to come. :)

(I'll let you know when I've got some images ready.)

So, we are definitely coming this Saturday (barring catastrophe, naturally) and are excited!

I am duty bound to ask: would it be appropriate for me to bring my camera?

Thanks. :)

That's what I'm talking about!! I am the same way. I simply must get
an oyster poboy every time I go back home, and I have to have some
raw oysters on the half-shell...usually from Danny&Clyde's in River Ridge or Deaney's off Haynes Blvd in the east. They have no idea what a real foot long looks like up here...I went to one place that served a so-called authentic poboy with a big ol' piece of lettuce on it like it was from jack-in the box. The french bread is never done right...either too toasty or simply too small. D&C have some clean, just right with saline oysters over there...not like those steroid injected mussels at Pappadeauxs. I would then get a Nectar Soda from Sweet Charlotte's in Rivertown and some Zapp's potato chips. My parents run a little "hole in the wall" creole restaurant in Kenner. What it lacks in ambiance, it truly makes up for in delicious food...she serves some shrimp&grits and gumbo to die for. Last week they had stuffed porkchops and greens. This week I think she has crawfish stuffed chicken. If you go back this summer, you need to check them out and tell them you are my homegirl...lol...on Taylor St...called Perkins Restaurant. I will also be going back for the first home game to watch the Saints with my dad. Hey, what school did you go to? I went to De La Salle uptown.

I finished at a Houston Univ...so I have been up here on and off since 1990. But I kept going back as soon as school was up. I did not truly
plant any Houston roots until 1998. I plan on going back this summer for some good food and family time.
