At 12:52pm on March 12, 2009, freelulu said…: For those of you who don't know - Barb passed away on March 9, 2009 from a brief battle with cancer. She will be sorely missed. Here's the text from her obitiuary in the Houston Chronicle.

BARBARA ANN JONES, age 55, passed away on March 9, 2009. With family and friends at her side, Barbara passed on to a place without pain or fear, taking with her the love of too many people to count. Barb was preceded in death by her brother Tom Jones. She is survived by her husband, Pat Southard; parents Larry and Jean Jones, sister Lori Scott, brother David Jones, sister-in-law Becky Sargent, and numerous nieces and nephews. She will continue to live on in their hearts and minds; in time the tears will pass, leaving the joy of her memory in their place. Peace. Visitation and a short service will be held on March 16, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Earthman Funeral Home, 6700 Ferris, Bellaire, TX, 77401. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Barb's memory be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 8111 North Stadium Drive, Suite 100, Houston, TX, 77054.
