- Thank you Angus for your kind words. Nice photos you have too. I'm so jealous of your travels. I noticed you were looking for places to show your work. There are several in Houston. H Gallery at Hungary's Restaurant in Rice Village, another one that escapes my mind at the moment that is close to Diverse Works .Also International Decor Gallery in the Galleria area shows international photos, and there is another couple of places that do, but I can't think of their names right off. If you google names of galleries in Houston there will be quiet a few that show only photos. Hopes that helps some. Also look up glasstire.com and go to the section for open call for art, there are some that are for photography; you'll have to kind of pick thru glasstire until you get to the right section. Maybe get onto spacetaker.coms site too. Best of wishes, Victoria

- I enjoy art. It lifts the spirit with inspiring thoughts, sounds and colors - some or all of these. It helps the human spirit to soar and dream. It comes in all flavors: hard or soft, loud to silent, overbearing or timid, intense or subtle, and focused or lost.
I have a modest art collection. I will be putting up those things that are among my favorites to share with others here. I have spent much of my life outdoors: jungles, deserts, mountains, caves and oceans and during these travels have kept my cameras at hand to record what for me were those unforgettable moments. I used the camera to capture the moments for a small group of fellow affectionados.
I am a private kind of person but do share art that I collect with my friends as an expression of what my heart holds. I like best sharing this art when friends have gathered for food and drink at the ranch.
That is who I am. I am looking forward to being a member of this online community and hope to meet some of you at the galleries I tend to frequent.

Looking for a Gallery
I am looking for a gallery that might have an interest in photographs taken in Indonesia, China, Malaysia, Borneo, Vietnam and other "exotic" places. The photos are of people and/or landscapes. Most show how life has "stood still" for hundreds of years in some places on our earth. I took the photos envious of the people who can live such a life and not have to think about catching the next plane.
