Spacetaker's 5th Annual Gala: Synergy!
On Feburary 21st, Spacetaker's 5th annual fundraising gala - SYNERGY - takes over Winter Street Studios (2101 Winter Street, 77007) from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Gala guests will thrill to views of downtown Houston from the Rooftop Geisha Lounge, dig the underground vibes of DJ Sun & Soular Grooves, feast on a fashion show like no other, and mix with hundreds of Houston artists and arts lovers inside the main drag of Winter Street Studios- one of the most exciting workspaces for Houston's creative community.
Tiffany Halik, Alton LaDay and Gail Rubin will serve as the chairs of the annual synergy-themed fete. Gallerist Caroline Tyson and Wade Wilson will serve as the events honorary chairs.
Spacetaker's SYNERGY gala entertainment showcases several innovative and electrifying Houston artists and arts groups: Audio Telepathy, Bootown, Divergence Vocal Theater, DJ Sun & Soular Grooves, Leslie Scates Dance Company, Opera Vista, Peekaboo Theory, Sahira and an Art-filled Fashion Show! The show not only features designs by M2M Fashion and Jeans Couture, but erupts into a fashion explosion with clothes by Houston's Aerosol Warfare and products by urban-chic sneaker lifestyle store, The Tipping Point- styled by dancers of Travesty Dance Group in a fashion show like no other.
Gala Decor and installations featuring some of Houston's most notorious street artists Give Up, Death Head, and Aerosol Warfare.
SYNERGY gala refreshments feature a variety of food and desserts from excellent local eateries, including Cordua, Bella Group gems: Collin's Chophouse, Cielo, and Mia Bella. The Striphouse and Chocolate Encore will be catering to your sweet-tooth, and specialty drinks poured from Voice Restaurant and Lounge, Dripping Springs Texas Vodka, Sweet Leaf Tea, and Red Bull. The Rooftop Geisha Lounge features sushi by Crave Sushi and sake by Sake2Me.
The SYNERGY silent auction gives guests the opportunity to bid on artworks by renowned Houston artists such as Virgil Grotfeldt, Sheperd Fairy, Emilie Duval, Justin Garcia, Michael Meazell, Patrick Medrano/Katy Anderson and others. The Mod Pod, Design Within Reach, and handbags by Isabella Fiore are among the coveted treasures for the Silent Auction.
