Archway Gallery’s first ever juried exhibition, “Natural Habitat,” which celebrates flora, fauna and the preservation of nature, opens Saturday, July 4 and continues through July 30. Exhibit pieces will be available for sale with 40 percent of the proceeds benefiting the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center.
A free artists’ reception will be held Saturday, July 11 from 5-8 p.m. The reception will include presentation of awards and remarks from show juror and Houston sculptor Dean Ruck. Ruck, whose work can be found in the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, is known for his “Inversion” collaboration with Dan Havel on Montrose and most recently a project for Estudio Abierto in Buenos Aires.
