celebrate the closing of DIGITALIA: Intimacy in the Hyperreal with an online community meet-and-greet!
The ArtsHouston online community has over 440 members and is growing fast with 10 new members every week. Users can create their own profiles, post videos and blogs, find listings for studios and events, and meet others in the Houston art community.
DIGITALIA: Intimacy in the Hyperreal, curated by Evan J. Garza, is a provocative look at how the internet and digital technology have recharacterized our definitions of physical and emotional intimacy. The group show features a diverse collection of artists, from the internationally renowned to new and emerging talent, who use digitally altered photographic mediums, neon, video, and 3-dimensional software technologies to explore pornography, sex, and intimacy.
